Stem cell researchers give old muscle new pep
We have found another avenue of affecting the practical age of life.
Not to take anything away from us...being of this planet in the geological sense and the product of switches, on and off, is amazing; the levels of complexity we are and have turned into. We have arisen in a world always tending toward entropy on the greater scale. We are the aberration in the statistical sample.
If we believe that there is no magic and if we believe that we human beings are wonderful evolutions arisen from our planet, then we must also believe that we humans are amazingly subtle, nuanced and complicated engineering samples.
If we believe all of that then every single occurrence within us is simply a reaction to another action. And if we believe that, then every little thing we learn about the body will add up to a giant database of ideas and concepts and processes and how they go bump inside of us. We will build a grand picture of ourselves that outlines EVERY single process.
Now, for me, i would be happy with a few hundred years of life because I think i will choose to remain an imperfect emotional human being who can travel the universe always learning and feeling and appreciating.
You do realize within some of our lifetimes there is a relatively strong chance of immortality, right?

Because it benefits me to make all of you smarter! That's WHY!
